Over 25 years of being Sydney’s favorite, The Golden Century Group proudly presented its new baby in July 2012, introducing The Century at The Star.
Classic taste: The Century captures the essence of Golden Century, which has been a popular Sydney institution and the group’s Chinatown flagship restaurant, by serving everyone’s favourite classics and signature dishes.
New look: Be ready to be wowed the moment you step in! Admire the 15 double glazed aquarium tanks featuring live seafood at our entrance; Sniff the American oak used sparingly across the bar and dining areas as you appreciate our matching wine; Feel our feature wall handmade with 82,320 chopsticks throughout the restaurant and twinkle with the hundreds of tea cup lights, our stylish backdrop over hanging at our semi private dining areas.
Behind all these is a new interior concept brought to you by Hong Kong based Paring Onion Design, paying tribute to Chinese culinary culture with a refreshing and modern twist. In September 2013, The Century was announced the proud Winner for Best Restaurant Design (Australia & Pacific) by the International Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in London.
Wine& Dine: Our cellar is home to an extensive list of value and premium wines from the likes of Australian, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, USA, Japan and China. Old and new world, young and mature, value and premium, our award winning wine list will bring your dining experience to another level.
The restaurant seats 250 people and houses stylish private and semi-private dining rooms for groups of 6 to 70 people.
